10 out of 12 Kept Luminesce 7" cover

Sonna - Kept Luminesce 7"
(Static Caravan)

This single surprised me because Sonna, generally known to be somewhat downbeat and mostly instrumental, show up here with upbeat songs and a song with vocals mixed high. I can't find any indication of which side corresponds with which song, so I'll refer to them as the instrumental and the one with vocals. The instrumental is a busy song with a quick drum beat. Relative to other Sonna songs, this results in a rather peppy feel. The one with vocals is similar musically (though a little more repetitious) but the vocals change the tone from cheery to a little down, but still fairly upbeat. The Eventual Bow proved Sonna could out-drone similarly minded bands, and this single proves they can also out-song them.
