Ian Nagoski - Warm Coursing Blood
(Colorful Clouds for Acoustics)

Philadelphia-based sound artist (and publisher of the amazing magazine Halana) Ian Nagoski created this album of electronics and other indeterminate sound sources in 1998. This low-priced CD takes the listener through a world of harsh buzzing dark ambience before emerging on the last track, "A Joy Forever." This closing piece glows quietly with some ascendant oscillating sounds in what could be an rhBand outtake. Definitely worth a listen--hopefully we'll hear more from Mr. Nagoski.
