10 out of 12 Neoprene So Tight cover

HollAnd - Neoprene So Tight
(Darla)

This 3 ("Mil," "Neoprene So Tight," and "Soft Limit") song single from Darla is a wonderful little gem. Trevor has recorded a lot of great releases under the monikers See Saw, Sea Saw, HollAnd, and Commercial (with Flowchart), and this is one of his best (but also one of his shortest).

Though HollAnd has always been comparable to the best elements of Magnetic Fields' The Charm of the Highway Strip and Get Lost, his music is always a little more upbeat, and his vocals are a little less hopeless. However, Trevor's vocals still do have an element of sadness to them, and it perfectly anchors the more upbeat pop songs.

Neoprene So Tight is the perfect 3 part single. "Mil," the first track is upbeat and peppy, "Neoprene So Tight" sits in the middle with the great line "Neoprene so tight, so tight you can't breathe," and "Soft Limit" has a great downbeat, winding-down feeling to it that leaves you craving the single again. So, buy it and put it on repeat so you can enjoy it all day like I do.
