AXOLOTL - Archons?/Archons!
(Jyrk)

Radioactive solar wind from this mysterious San Francisco / New York City outfit. Apparently culled from live performances while on tour, Archons is a pink noise adventure with soft day-glow synths and throbbing low end. Percussive clatter plays around the edges a lot, and glimpses from rocks troubled past (cycles, guitar, and vocals) occasionally pop their head above the heavy syrup acid bath. The CD closes with a dreamy psychedelic half song, complete with warbley, child like, vocals that give the whole track a nice Sunday morning feeling, except way more fucked up than that. A fascinating listen.
