Zealtronic Bordeaux 7" cover Zealtronic Purple 7" cover

Languis - Zealtronic Bordeaux 7"
(Zeal)

Lackluster - Zealtronic Purple 7"
(Zeal)

Belgium's Zeal Records is quickly become a household name for 7" vinyl collectors. Releasing everything from the UK's Rothko to Brooklyn's Sybarite, Zeal has quickly established that it has a wide range of musical taste. Using the Zealtronic imprint with its minimal serial graphic design and colored vinyl, the label has released a string of 7"s of melancholic bedroom electronica.

Languis fall perfectly into that category. The LA instrumental duo create a symbiotic relationship between acoustic instruments and electronics, creating lush soundtracks to dream sequences or future memories.

Lackluster, on the other hand, seems a bit scattered and unfocused, falling effortlessly in to the "All electronic music sounds the same" category. Pulling from references all over the electronic map, from Autechre to Pole, these 2 tracks come across as throwaways.
