Echo Orbiter - Laughing All the While

The Echo Orbiter is fun! Just check out the cover
artwork or the crazy applause in-between the songs.
These guys are crazy! The problem is that while their
songs are pretty good in a Syd Barrett kind of way,
the formula is a bit played out, and the singing is a
little too forceful for my taste. I think that the
Asteroid #4 did this sort of thing far better than the
Echo Orbiter does.
However, like Manbeard, the Echo Orbiter is just plain fun,
and therefore any minor grievances can be thrown out
the window. After all, fun isn't always great art and
great art isn't always fun. The Echo Orbiter is fun,
but it's not great art. Silly party hats not
included.
