Welcome to the latest big time issue from the minor league (or is that Bush
league) assholes at fakejazz.com. I have to admit it, this
issue is only so-so. I don't even know why you would bother reading it.
...What the hell am I talking about? This issue has a lot of great stuff!
We've got a ton of new reviews, about as many as we've ever had, along with a great
new interview and our first ever contest.
Our interview for this issue is with
Michael Krassner,
leader of the Boxhead
Ensemble and the Lofty Pillars. If you don't have the
Lofty Pillars
CD yet, honestly, you're such a fool. It is great, beautiful music,
orchestral pop that pulls at the heartstrings as well as your ears, brain,
toes, and hips. In the interview, Krassner talks about the differences between
the Lofty Pillars album and his solo debut, his approach to songwriting and
lyric writing, and future plans for both the Boxhead Ensemble and the Lofty
Pillars. If you care about this artist at all (and you should), read
the interview.
The assholes at the Music
Fellowship were so overwhelmed by fakejazz's recent
warm review of Landing's debut EP Centrefuge that they decided to
donate three copies of the EP for fakejazz.com's
first
ever contest. All you have to do is enter your name and email address,
and you could have a free CD in your mailbox.
Let us know if you have any comments, either
send us an email or leave a note on our message board. We heart feedback.
Look for our next issue on October 7th. Thanks for coming.
