Welcome to the first on-time issue of fakejazz in about 3 months.
Thanks for your patience with respect to late issues.
This welcome message
pretty much gets thrown together at the last second, as you can probably
tell from the "interesting" editorials of past issues. Usually, after rushing
to put things together, this is written stream of consciousness, and this
issue is no different really.
While I was trying to think of something to say here, I got distracted.
A while ago I was searching the web for "Corey Feldman" as I normally do
every few weeks in order to get the latest gossip on Corey. What I found,
though, was a totally amazing Obey Giant "bootleg" sticker image with an
amazing Corey theme. The sticker is shown below (find other bootlegs
at obeygiant.com).
So, naturally, I think this is the most awesome thing I have ever seen in
my entire life. And I'm not just refering to the great image of Corey from
his "Michael Jackson phase." Even the basic idea of "bootleg" Obey Giant
stickers is an amazingly awesomenist way of wasting time. It inspired me
today, May 3rd, the day that all the loving work that goes into publishing fakejazz gets done,
to waste an hour or so making the image below.
Ming is tall. If you also think this is an amazingly awesomenist way of
wasting time, we'd like to see anything you throw together. If you send
them to info@fakejazz.com, and
it is particularly wonderful and inspirational, we will definitely send
something special your way and possibly even make a mass run of your sticker
as a fakejazz promotional item. Your artwork could be thrown
away at record stores all around the world!
If you have any questions about the site, please send us an email. or stop by our message board. Look for our next issue on June 7th. Thanks for everything.
