Hello, is it me you're looking for? 'Cause I wonder where you are and I wonder
what you do. Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you? If
you're feeling lonely and no one's loving you, we're here to help. We've
got over 30 new reviews to help pass the time and ease the pain, as well as
a brand new contest in
which almost everyone who enters will get a little bit of love sent to them.
It is our "Spring Cleaning Contest," and we're giving away all those old
records (ones we put out that no one bought, ones we reviewed and hated, ones
we bought at a thrift shop as a joke) that we don't have room for anymore. Some
people will get some pretty great records, and some people will get some really
crappy ones. Some person will get a The Grind workout video.
There are no new interviews or columns this issue, which is actually kind of
nice because it gives us the real estate to feature more of the great new
records that have come out recently: the long awaited Old Ramon from
Red House Painters, the great new band
Kinski,
and outstanding new albums from
Bardo Pond and
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy.
Considering how few exciting releases there were to cover last issue, this
issue more than makes up for it.
If you are in need of some love, we are always looking for new friends, so please
send us an email or leave a note on our message board.
Look for our next issue on May 11th. Thanks.
