TV Gilmore Girls Ep 119 Season 6 - He's Slippin' 'Em Bread... Dig?

gilmore2.jpgMan, no new episodes til January. How will all us Gilmorons survive? For the last episode before a long break, the writers didn't give us much to savor. The big cliffhangers are Luke's indecisiveness over forming a relationship with Welcome to the Dollhouse and Rory finding out from Logan's sister Honor (what a terrible name) that Logan thinks they broke up. Representing the Logan-haters, that was pretty great news. Logan no doubt will reappear but hopefully the lessons learned from Jess' visit will persist. It was sweet for Luke to decide to try and contact Welcome to the Dollhouse at the end of the episode, but essentially who cares? It's a terrible, desperate story tangent, and the upcoming Sherilyn Fenn cameo doesn't even fully compensate for the unnecessary diversion. Too much of this episode had to do with Lane and her relationship with Zach. While the humor of Zach's jealousy and resulting breakdown was typical Gilmore fare, the whole "industry showcase" angle was way too unrealistic. The storyline would have been less annoying if they just focused on Zach's inability to write a song about his girlfriend. While way too much time was spent on Lane, the big hubbub of the episode was over Christopher's reappearance. Having him pay for Rory's tuition to help cut the apron strings from Emily was fitting and appropriate, and Luke's anticlimatic underreaction was a nice touch. Finally a road bump doesn't lead to an argument with those two!
