TV Lost Ep 16 Season 1 - Outlaws website

LostIf there's one thing I've learned in my years of dealing with shape-shifting liquid metal killer androids, it's that you can't trust shape-shifting liquid metal killer androids. This episode we learned that Sawyer's ill-fated trip to Australia led to the ill fate of some random shrimp stand owner, as Sawyer mistakenly thought the man was the "Sawyer" that led to his parents murder/suicide (shown at the beginning of the episode in true "Kill Bill Vol. 1" fashion). Man, that's a bitch. The only thing worse than killing a guy is finding out from the guy you just killed that you were totally duped into killing him. And the only thing worse than that is having some boar inhabited by the soul of the guy you killed play crazy practical jokes on you. We also learn that Sawyer and Jack's dad shared a drink, Jack's dad sorta convinced Sawyer to go through with the whole "killing" thing (unwittingly), and that Jack's dad didn't blame Jack for turning him in (he just didn't have the courage to tell him). This last fact builds up to the end of the episode when Sawyer figures out the guy he drank with was probably Jack's dad. And does he tell Jack that his father had no bad feelings towards him? Of course not! That would be nice, and then they would probably have to hug, or at least shake hands, which would ruin the whole passive aggressive power struggle Sawyer has going on. Giving up the gun was enough of a concession for now. This was a great episode. Maybe the only bad thing about it was that the previews were completely misleading. Part of the fun is guessing what will happen next week, and if the previews turn out always to be red herrings, that would be a shame.
