I really should be going to sleep, since I have to wake up at 7 am to teach an 8:40 recitation, but that's how great this episode of Arrested Development was; I got home from a long day of classes, prepared for tomorrow, and then said, "I have to watch that episode again." I consistently laughed out loud at most of it, but as usual Will Arnett stole the show. First with his misfiring magic tricks, then with his balls line, the way he "sexily" read the menu to Lucille 2 ("In club sauce!") and the crowning moment "I'm not ashamed to be with you; I'm ashamed to be seen with you." Amazing. Not only that, but the weirdo chicken dance ("Caw-ca-caw-ca-caw-ca-caw") made another appearance. That bit gets me every time. Not only all this, but plenty of callbacks to last season, David Cross was great as usual (a bowlful of jellybeans?), and the Jerky Boys subplot was so random. Also, I don't know if this was a subtle theme or not, but both George Michael and Tobias misused scare quotes. And a Rob Courdry cameo! No hyperbole, this is the best show on TV at the moment.
